Arriving by car

We have a car park, which is free of charge. Parking is available near the main reception for Blue Badge holders within 3 defined areas, however the whole main driveway can accommodate blue badge holders. Please note, if parking in these areas your badge must be properly displayed during your visit. For all other drivers, follow the sign for museum car parking just beyond the driveway. Turn right at the sign and at the bottom you will be directed into the car park that has spaces for 80 vehicles.

Arriving by train

The nearest Stagecoach bus stop is Peterhead, HM Prison. This bus stop is located directly outside of the building / opposite our main gates.

The nearest train station is Aberdeen, which is 35 miles south of Peterhead and sits next to the main Stagecoach bus depot.

Arriving by coach

If you’re arriving by coach, you will be dropped off outside the front of Peterhead Prison. The coach will pick you up from the same location, outside the prison, after your visit is completed. Your coach driver will provide specific details on the day. There is coach parking available on the drive outside of the building. Additional parking for coaches can be found at the Lido Car Park.
